Bridport Folk Festival - August 13th, 14th, 15th 2021
BearCat Family Craft Tent & SwapShop
PLUS Storytelling in the Flollop Lounge
Many people likening it to Sidmouth for it's warmth and hospitality,
“the most friendly festival we’ve been to in years"
“Well organised and a comprehensive programme!“
“Well done Bridport!“ ... “it took similar festivals years to reach the point where you started!"
These comments, probably made in the excitement of a new Festival,
were however much appreciated and warmly received.
www.bridportfolkfestival.com
“…We are happy to report that we have developed a good relationship with most of the Hostelries and many have opened their arms to receive and host various performances and sessions. The Hub of the Festival is the Marquee that will be holding a variety of acoustic and open mic sessions in addition to providing a wide range of liquid refreshments in the shape of Ales, Ciders and Wine, all at preferential Festival prices.
Being an open green area, we are obliged to serve drinks in commemorative festival glasses. Costing £1 they are reusable and this helps to finance the festival and render it as near to a ‘Free’ Festival as we can get. A few pints at our prices and you’ve got your money back anyway! PROGRAMS - As this is our main source of income, we would be grateful if you purchased the programs on sale thereby enabling us to fund future festivals”

Our volunteers have created a lush festive grotto in the garden centre’s old office using swap-shop materials, we upcycle curtains to create a Santa suit, wrapped donated presents and dress up as elf helpers. Every Saturday & Sunday in December up till Christmas children can visit Santa by voluntary contribution, so no one is left out. It is on level access, so wheelchair users are able to visit. Every child is gifted with a wrapped book and also a toy suitable for their age range. Grassroots Garden Centre, Stalbridge Rd, Henstridge, Templecombe BA8 0SA Santas grotto is open 12pm-3pm No need to book, just turn up. Elf helpers are on duty from 11:30am each day, visit them for a numbered ticket with the time of your visit. All proceeds to local community projects. |
